BUDGET INFORMATION

Both the Washington Borough Board of Education(on February 13, 2012) and the Washington Borough Council (on February 7, 2012) voted in favor of a significant cost savings measure: to move the annual School Board Trustee election to the first Tuesday in November(November 6, 2012 for this year).

The cap on the local Tax Levy stands at 2%.  Only funds exceeding that amount require a separate question for public vote on the ballot.  We will not offer a separate question this November 2012.  The financial impact of our 2012-2013 School Budget will be an increase of approximately $28.60 on a Borough home assesesed at $100,000.

Should you have any questions at all, please feel free to stop in and visit with me or pick up the telephone and give me a call(689-0241 or 689-1810).
