Dear Parents and Guardians and Students,

We are thrilled to celebrate the tremendous progress our students have made in English Language Arts this year! With the implementation of our new CKLA (Core Knowledge Language Arts) curriculum, we have seen exciting gains in reading, writing, and foundational literacy skills across all grade levels.

This success would not have been possible without the dedication and collaboration of our incredible educators and intervention team. Their commitment to supporting every learner, combined with the high-quality CKLA resources, has truly made a difference.

Together, we are building strong readers, confident writers, and a lifelong love of learning. We look forward to continuing this momentum and achieving even greater success in the coming year.

As we head into the summer months, I want to take a moment to highlight the incredible value of reading during the break. Research shows that children who read regularly over the summer maintain, and even grow, their reading skills, helping them return to school in the fall ready to thrive.

Summer is the perfect time to explore new books, revisit old favorites, and spark a love of reading. Whether it’s a trip to the library, reading together before bed, or listening to audiobooks on a car ride, every minute counts.

Let’s work together to make reading a fun and meaningful part of your child’s summer. We can’t wait to hear all about the amazing books they’ve enjoyed when we see them again in the fall!
