Preschool 2026-2027 School Year
Preschool Programs & Enrollment
We are excited to continue providing high-quality early childhood education to our community! For the upcoming school year, we are proud to offer several preschool locations to meet the needs of our families.
Our Locations:
- Taylor Street School
- Little Bears
- Washington Kid Care
- Head Start (new 2026-2027 school year)
Our Partnership with Head Start
We are thrilled to announce a formal partnership with Head Start this year. This collaboration allows us to expand our reach and provide robust support for our students. To ensure families receive the maximum benefits available to them, Head Start will directly contact any family whose application indicates qualification for Free or Reduced Lunch. This helps streamline the process and ensures your child is placed in the program that best supports your family’s needs.
Eligibility & Placement
Students must be three years old by October 1, 2026, to be eligible. Due to high demand, placement for all locations, Taylor Street School, Little Bears, and Washington Kid Care, will be determined by a lottery for all remaining seats.
To ensure your child is entered into the lottery, you must complete the Interest Form below by March 31, 2026.
The Lottery Process
- Date: The lottery will be held via live stream on April 2, 2026.
- Results: Following the stream, results will be posted on this page. To maintain privacy, students will be identified by assigned student numbers rather than names.
- Notification: All final placements will be communicated directly to families following the event.

Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment where young children can develop a love for learning. We aim to support every child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth, laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning and development. We strive to create a safe and joyful space where curiosity is encouraged, imagination is celebrated, and every child feels valued and loved.
What is The Creative Curriculum?
The Creative Curriculum is a teaching approach used in preschool that focuses on fostering children's natural curiosity and creativity. It’s designed to create a rich, engaging learning environment where children can explore, experiment, and learn in a way that suits their individual needs and interests. Talk with your child at home about what they are learning and doing in preschool to reinforce their experiences. At home ask your child questions about school.
Nurturing Growth
We believe that every child is unique and full of potential. Our approach is centered on fostering each child’s natural curiosity and creativity through play-based learning. We provide a rich, engaging curriculum that inspires exploration and discovery, supporting the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and social skills. Our goal is to cultivate a sense of wonder and a joy for learning that will stay with our children for a lifetime.
Our Team
Our team of dedicated early childhood educators, caregivers, and staff are passionate about supporting the holistic development of each child. With their expertise, compassion, and dedication, they create a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, happy, and ready to learn. Our educators are committed to ongoing professional development and are always exploring new ways to enhance the learning experience for our children.
A Foundation for Lifelong Learning
We believe that the early years are critical for setting the stage for lifelong learning and success. Our curriculum is designed to foster a love of learning and to help children develop the skills they need to thrive in kindergarten and beyond. Through hands-on activities, interactive play, and structured learning experiences, we help our children build the foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and social interaction that will support their academic and personal growth.
Community and Family Engagement
We value the role of families in a child's education and development. We actively engage with parents, guardians, and the wider community to create a supportive network that enriches our children's learning experiences. We believe in open communication and partnership with families to ensure that each child's individual needs and strengths are recognized and nurtured.
A Bright Start
We are committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where each child can begin their educational journey with confidence and joy. We look forward to welcoming you to our preschool, where the first steps in your child's educational journey are filled with wonder, discovery, and boundless opportunities.
