ECAC

We are proud to support the growth and success of our youngest learners, and we invite families and community members to be part of this important work by joining the Early Childhood Advisory Council (ECAC). The Early Childhood Advisory Council, or ECAC, is defined as an advisory group of community stakeholders who are invested in the education and well-being of children from preschool through grade three, convened by the school district (N.J.A.C. 6A:13A-1.2). As required under N.J.A.C. 6A:13A-4.6, each district board of education must establish an ECAC to review the implementation of high-quality preschool programs, provide guidance and support to the district’s early childhood initiatives, and help ensure smooth transitions for children as they progress from preschool through grade three.

The ECAC brings together parents, educators, and community partners who share a common commitment to early childhood education. Members provide valuable input on programs, contribute ideas, and support initiatives that strengthen learning experiences for all students, with a primary focus on our preschool community. Through this collaborative work, the ECAC plays a vital role in promoting family engagement, enhancing program quality, and ensuring that our programs reflect the needs, perspectives, and voices of the families we serve.
