Kindergarten Registration:
Must be 5 years old on/by October 1st, 2024
Full day programming is provided
Preschool Registration:
Must be three- or four-years old by October 1st, 2024 (No five year olds, please.)
Borough residents only
No-Cost, Full-day programming
Toilet training is not required
Priority seating will be provided to four-year-olds
Strict deadline: lottery will close registered by 5/9/24, by 3pm; registration should be completed by 6/3/24
Once Board approved, the school calendar for next year will be posted on the website. If your child is currently enrolled in our preschool or kindergarten program, their enrollment will be automatically rolled over for next year. All registration is to be completed online. Feel free to share this email with fellow Washington Borough residents.
In the event that the district does not have enough preschool “seats” for all of our children, we will use a lottery system. Parents must register for the lottery, in order to be eligible for the lottery drawing. A link to the lottery is located on our school website. The lottery will close on Thursday, May 9th at 3pm. More information about the time and place of the lottery will follow. You will not need to be present to earn a spot in the lottery as results will be emailed following the drawing. If you have more than one child eligible for preschool and one name is pulled for the lottery, the second child will automatically be granted a spot in the preschool program. Those children who do not get a seat immediately will be put on a wait list in the order of their assigned number via the lottery process. Any additional children (e.g.: new residents to Washington Borough or late registrants who missed the deadline) who were not in the lottery will be put on the wait list AFTER those who participated in the lottery. Children with special needs/IEP’s do NOT participate in the lottery, but do need to register.
