The Warren County Special Services School District (WCSSD) partners with Washington Borough Schools to provide comprehensive before and after school care for families in our community. This collaboration ensures that children receive quality supervision and enriching activities in a familiar school environment.

Our Partnership

WCSSD operates the childcare program within Washington Borough Schools facilities, combining the expertise of specialized staff with the convenience of your child's school location. This partnership allows us to offer seamless care that extends your child's school day in a safe and nurturing environment.

Program Overview

Our before and after care program serves children from kindergarten through sixth grade at both Taylor Street and Memorial Schools. The program runs daily from school dismissal until 5:30 PM, providing parents with reliable childcare during after-school hours.

What We Offer

Safe Environment: All children are supervised by qualified adults employed by WCSSD, ensuring professional care and safety standards.

Varied Activities: Daily programming includes homework assistance, table games, indoor and outdoor activities (weather permitting), and age-appropriate movies. Our flexible curriculum keeps children engaged while allowing time for both structured activities and free play.

Homework Support: Staff members are available to provide limited homework assistance, helping children stay on track with their academic responsibilities.

Convenient Locations: Programs operate at familiar school locations, making pickup and drop-off easy for families.

Program Requirements

Students participating in our childcare program must demonstrate age-appropriate self-management skills, as individual aides are not provided within the program structure.
