The Business & Finance Office plays a crucial role in the effective operation of our K-6 school district. Our primary purpose is to ensure the responsible management of district resources, allowing us to provide the best possible educational experience for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Budget Management: We develop and oversee the district's annual budget, ensuring that funds are allocated efficiently to support educational programs, staffing, and facilities.
  2. Financial Reporting: Our office prepares regular financial reports for the Board of Education, administrators, and the public, maintaining transparency in our fiscal operations.
  3. Payroll Administration: We manage payroll for all district employees, ensuring accurate and timely compensation.
  4. Purchasing and Procurement: We oversee the acquisition of supplies, equipment, and services needed for district operations, following state and federal guidelines to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  5. Grant Management: We administer and track various grants, maximizing additional funding opportunities for our schools.
  6. Facilities Management: We work closely with our facilities team to plan and budget for maintenance, repairs, and capital improvements to our school buildings.
  7. Food Service Oversight: Our office manages the financial aspects of the district's food service program, including free and reduced lunch applications.
  8. Compliance: We ensure the district adheres to all financial regulations and reporting requirements set by local, state, and federal authorities.
  9. Long-term Financial Planning: We develop strategies for the district's long-term financial health, considering factors such as enrollment trends and future educational needs.
  10. Risk Management: We oversee insurance policies and risk mitigation strategies to protect the district's assets and interests.

Our goal is to be responsible stewards of public funds, making the most of every dollar to support our students' education. We strive for efficiency, transparency, and accountability in all our financial practices.
