School Counseling

At Washington Borough School District, we are committed to providing comprehensive counseling services to support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of our students. Our dedicated team of counselors is here to empower students to overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and thrive in all aspects of their lives.

Services Offered:

Our counseling services encompass a wide range of support and resources tailored to meet the unique needs of our students:

  • Individual Counseling: Our counselors provide one-on-one support to students dealing with academic, personal, or family issues. Through confidential sessions, students can explore their feelings, develop coping strategies, and work towards solutions to overcome challenges.
  • Group Counseling: We offer group counseling sessions on various topics such as peer relationships, stress management, and self-esteem. These sessions provide students with the opportunity to connect with their peers, share experiences, and learn from one another in a supportive environment.
  • Crisis Intervention: In times of crisis or emergency, our counselors are available to provide immediate support and intervention to students in need. Whether it's a personal crisis, mental health concern, or community trauma, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students and provide timely assistance and referrals to appropriate resources.

Collaboration and Partnerships:

Counselors collaborate closely with parents, teachers, administrators, and community organizations to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting student success. By fostering strong relationships and partnerships, we leverage collective resources and expertise to address the diverse needs of our student population effectively.
