Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying / Affirmative Action
At Washington Borough School District, we are committed to providing a safe, positive learning environment for all our students. We take a firm stance against Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying (HIB) in any form. Our comprehensive HIB policy, in accordance with New Jersey state law, ensures that all reported incidents are promptly investigated and addressed. We believe in fostering a culture of respect, kindness, and inclusion from our youngest learners through to our sixth graders. Our approach includes preventive education, character development programs, and clear procedures for reporting and resolving HIB incidents. We encourage students, parents, and staff to speak up if they witness or experience any form of HIB. Together, we can create a school community where every child feels safe, valued, and empowered to learn and grow.
