At Washington Borough School District, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive support and resources to ensure the academic success and well-being of all our students. Below are the various services we offer to support students, parents, and faculty:
- Child Study Services: Our team of dedicated professionals, including school psychologists, learning disabilities teacher-consultants (LDTCs), and school social workers, provides consultation services to teachers and parents, conducts assessments, offers counseling, and assists in the development and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for eligible students.
- Speech and Language Services: Certified speech and language therapists deliver tailored services, including consultations, specialized assessments, and therapy sessions, to address speech and language challenges that may affect a student's educational progress.
- School Counseling: Our counseling services aim to support students' social, emotional, and academic needs. Our counselors provide guidance, support, and resources to help students navigate challenges and achieve their full potential.
- Dining Services: Partnering with Maschio’s, our cafeteria provides nutritious meals that meet or exceed USDA nutrition standards. With a focus on healthy options like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins, we ensure students have access to balanced meals to support their overall health and well-being.
- Facilities Reservations: Our facilities are available for reservation for various school-related events and activities. Whether it's for meetings, performances, or extracurricular activities, our facilities offer a conducive environment for learning and collaboration.
- Health Services: Our health services team ensures the well-being of our students by administering medications, managing allergies, and maintaining health records. From medication administration to health screenings, we prioritize the health and safety of all students.
- Administration of Medication in School: We adhere to New Jersey state laws regarding the administration of medication in schools. Parents or guardians must provide proper authorization for any medication to be administered, ensuring the safety and well-being of our students.
- Health Forms for Admission to School: To comply with state mandates, we require certain health forms to be completed by parents or guardians before the start of the school year. These forms help us ensure that students' health needs are appropriately addressed while they are in our care.
We are committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all students. If you have any questions or require assistance regarding any of our services, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. Thank you for choosing Washington Borough School District for your child's education and development.
